Muggia,this small istrian venetian town conserves an intact venetian style architecture.

With its lanes, docks, typical squares ant its cathedral, it is one of the most characteristic small towns on the istrian coast, a few kilometers from the Slovenian border and Croatia.

Situated in a strategic position, you can easily reach Trieste either by car, in less than twenty minutes or with the ferry boat which takes you directly to the beautiful and famous Piazza Unità; a short distance away there is Piran the venetian pearl, the birthplace of the famous composer Tartini.

Rising behind Muggia is the Carso plateau, with its magnificent natural and geological wonders. The most outstanding of these geological formations is the Grotta Gigante, the world’s largest underground cavern which you can visit (, or the San Canzian caves in Slovenia. You can also go for walks in the woods and paths in the Carso.

In one hour by car you can reach Ljubljana and in less than two hours Venice.

In and around Muggia you can relax in the comfortable and shaded beach establishments, try the appetizing local gastronomic specialties, dedicate time to fishing, or go for outings in sailing or motor boats and cycle along the coast to nearby Slovenia.

Not to mention the pleasurable walks which you can do from the hotel which is situated next to the small port in the historic center, which passing through ancient lanes and squares takes you to the XIV Century castle.

Nearby there is a horse riding school and the Slovenian thermal spa is only 5 kilometers away.
